Makes it more fun.
Okay Sydney vs Wellington battled out a 0-0 draw last night. My tips for round 8 Melbourne City City will win the battle of two teams that could be good,,, but are too inconsistent. Brisbane Roar Brisbane Will win but Jets are playing pretty good lately. Huge improvement on last season. Melbourne Victory Victory are the best team in the comp and will come out on top. Western Sydney Wanderers Wsw will be way too strong for the mariners . Make sure you get there early to see the girls game ! I got all the information from the Official A League page. Click HERE to have a look. IT'S TIME !! The AFL and NRL wrapped up last weekend and now it’s time for the A league ( W League too ) to shine. We are in for a treat , this season should be spectacular.Fans have so many questions and they will all be answered !!! How is the situation up at Brisbane affecting the players ? Will WSW recapture the form that saw them make an extraordinary start to their A league life ? Are Newcastle still a mess ?? Can Wellington play consistent footy for a whole season and make a claim for the title ? ( Warriors struggle too , it’s a NZ thing I guess ) . Can anyone stop Victory ?? Before the season starts i’d like to make some bold predictions. We can come back to this at the end of the season to see if I had any idea about what I was talking about. THE BOLD PREDICTIONS Brisbane Roar will be dirt or diamonds . WSW will make a real push for the title. Nichols is the Key. Johnny Warren Medal Melbourne Victory will win the treble . ( FFA cup , Premiers and Champions ) Central Coast will get the dreaded spoon. Ladder Prediction Melbourne Victory Sydney FC Western Sydney Wanderers Adelaide United Brisbane Roar Wellington Phoenix Melbourne City Perth Glory Newcastle Jets Central Coast Mariners Key Players and Break outs Adelaide United: Key player for me would have to be Craig Goodwin. I honestly see him going far in his career (Socceroos , Overseas etc) .Eli Babalj at only 23 has achieved plenty . He has played overseas in Serbia and Netherlands and has represented Australia. Yet over the last 3 years has never been able to call a club home and string matches together. This season it’s time for him to stand up and put that ball in the back of the net weekly and who knows he might be headed to Russia in 2018. Brisbane Roar: When it comes to key players most people would look no further than the German mastermind Thomas Broich and honestly why would you . He is a genius ! So level headed , such a talented player who can remain calm under pressure and pull out the big play. Nothing lasts and Broich is surely coming to the end of his career and I think the player to carry on the torch is Devante Clut. He is in for a big season with the departure of Luke Brattan. Hopefully he will be given an opportunity and will take it with both hands. Does Corona play as good as it tastes. Central Coast Mariners: Honestly not much excites me about this squad apart from Storm Roux. If Fábio Ferreira fires they might go alright. I’m still tipping them for the spoon. Melbourne City : They actually have a good side this year.Star players like Aaron mooy and A league legends like Ivan Franjic and Erik Paartalu . Franjic and Mooy are the keys. Mooy needs to get through the whole season and perform and Franjic has been there and done it . He may be the one to help City be crowned champions for the 1st time. He is versatile he could literally play any position ... give him the gloves and let’s find out hahaha. Melbourne Victory : Where do I start .... So many stars in this team. They’ll win the comp. I really think Delpierre and Broxham will step up with the departure of Milligan. Pain , Ansell and Galloway are the young guns i’d be watching closely. Newcastle jets: Lachlan Jackson came to Jets after limited game time at Roar. He is a young man and has plenty of footy ahead of him. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the starting line-up for the majority of the season. He has a lot of potential. Miloš Trifunović , I know literally nothing about him . I've done some research but i’m still undecided if he was a good buy or not. I just have a feeling he could be up for a good season. It will be a big boost for jets!! Surely something will go there way. Perth Glory: The Key players are the salary cap auditors. If they stay away Perth are in for a good season .... I'm joking . Honestly I don't see Perth going all that well this season. Apart from the fact that they have lost a lot of their players from last year's amazing * season. The players that stayed will still be a heartbroken to have a chance at the championship ripped away from them. Covic is a great signing I hope he has an awesome season. I'm excited to see how Guyon Fernandez goes. I've watched some highlights and it looks like he goes alright . Could be an absolute beast in the a league. Andy Keogh who ??? Sydney FC: Andrew Hoole is the youngster to watch for the sky blues. Newcastle fans won’t like this kid wearing a sky blue jersey. Jacques Faty signed in the 14/15 transfer season .Sydney fans will be eager to see some more of this guy after his 10 or so appearances last season. Wellington Phoenix: Alex Rufer !! He is the next big thing !! He just needs a decent opportunity. This year could be the year !! Keep an eye on Kwabena Appiah-Kubi too... He is an exciting prospect too. Still really young. Roly Bonevacia is there key player if he fires the boys from across the ditch are in for a good season. He could take out the Johnny Warren Medal. Western Sydney Wanderers: Mitch Nichols is the man he will get them back up to the top 4 and maybe lead them to a championship. Dario Vidošić is a great buy for them I honestly think they will return to form this season. Who do you think will win the comp ? Spoon ? Johnny Warren Medal ? Make sure you get to the games this season and bring your friends and family . Hopefully i'll see you there !! Melbourne Victory by 2+ Brisbane Roar by 1 Western Sydney Wanderers FC by 1 or a draw Wellington Phoenix Adelaide United 2+ |
